This wine is made from 100% Pommard Clone Pinot Noir planted in 1988. Spiced cherry fruit right off the nose follows through on the palate to the finish. Wonderfully textured with a mouthwatering acidity that calls out for food. As with all Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyards' Pinots, don't be afraid to lay these down for a decade or more. You will be rewarded.
